How To Measure the Success of Live Streaming

Users who have a YouTube channel and make live broadcasts will probably like to know how many people watch their videos and the number of comments.


Depending on the type of transmission you choose, you can see the metrics after streaming or even simultaneously using the Analytics tab. In that part, all data will be available for download between 48 and 72 hours after the event. Check out the tutorial and see how to use the feature.


Cast now


Step 1 If you are using the "Cast now" option, you can check the number of people viewing the event and also the number of real-time comments on the Analytics tab on the right side of the page. For more details, click "View full scan";

Events


If you're streaming live through scheduled events, you can see the metrics using the Analytics tab through the Live Control Room.

Step 1 Schedule your event and go to the "Live Control Room";

Step 2 Then looks through the "Analytics" tab to see the metrics for the stream.



If you wish to have access to the metrics after the end of the live stream, you can download the data.


Step 1 Go to "Video Manager", choose the desired file and click on the name of the video;

Step 2 Then click on "Analytics";

Step 3 To download the metrics, click on "Download the report".
